Greek Week 2022
This past week, Pi Kappa Phi was paired with Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority for Greek Week. The theme for this year's Greek Week was "Once Upon a Greek Week" and we decided to do Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Our 3 weeks of service competition resulted in over 300 hours of service combined. We placed in 1st for the Donation Drive where we donated over $1500 dollars' worth of supplies for the Bear Pantry. We also competed in Greek Jam, Mystery Sports, and the God and Goddess Pagent. Nicholas Voet was the God candidate for our chapter. We also attended an educational on mental health, motivation, and substance abuse. Overall, the week resulted in lots of good memories, friends, and stories. More pictures can be found under the media page.
Spring Initiation 2022
On our very own Founder's Day, April 1, we initiated 6 new members into the Theta Lambda Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi. This initiation put our chapter size back over 100 members. We are super excited to see what Rudy, Paxton, Clay, Jackson, Tim, and Kile will bring to this chapter. The newly initiated members completed their new member process in 6 weeks. We initiated 4 freshman, 1 sophomore, and 1 junior. To give back to the church that volunteered up their space, the following morning we landscaped their grounds for the Easter Season.
PI KAPP COLLEGE FOR CHAPTER OFFICERS
In January, 6 of our exec members took a trip to Dallas, TX for a training on how to thrive in our positions on the executive board. While there, we received our second Founders Cup within 2 years. The Founder Cup acknowledges achievement in 5 of the 7 pillars of Pi Kappa Phi. We also received the Outstanding Alumni Engagement award due to the 3 alumni initiates we added to the chapter this past fall. Our executive board left the conference confident about the changes and leadership they could bring to the chapter in their term.
HOMECOMING 2021
For this year's Homecoming, we were paired with Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and Delta Chi Fraternity. We placed first in the Banner Competition, Rock 'n Chalk, Can we Build it, Mystery Sports, and Mo State Live. We placed Second in the Float Competition with a working fountain on the float. We also won Best Tailgate for the Homecoming tailgate. With all those places, we managed to win homecoming for the second year in a row. Riley Hochstein and Hunter Nelson were the Chairs for the week.
